Adopt A Family

ADOPT a family for the Holiday Basket program: Typically 70-100 Newtown families need to be “adopted” at the holidays each year, meaning they have qualified for assistance through Newtown Social Services.

Adopters receive a list of the ages and gender of each family member together with a list of each family member’s needs. Adopters are responsible for purchasing gifts and food for the family. Adopters can be individuals, families, or a group or organization.

Depot day is the day that the presents are delivered to the families.  Depot day this year is Dec. 14, 2024.
